Cured meats
Rare, but serious if it happens
Only cooked, until piping hot
Raw cured ham: toxoplasmosis and listeria risk. Avoid it raw even if you are immune to toxoplasmosis, because the listeria risk remains. Cooked in a hot dish until piping hot, it is fine.
You can eat this again while breastfeeding: the pregnancy-specific risks (listeria, toxoplasmosis, salmonella) no longer apply after birth. Keep normal food hygiene.
General information, not medical advice. It follows the public guidance for pregnancy and breastfeeding, and it cannot know your own history: for anything about your health or your baby's, the person to ask is your midwife or doctor.
